What Is A Handleless Oven?

A handleless oven is exactly as it sounds. It is a built-in oven that doesn’t have a handle on the outside to open its door.

Instead, a handleless oven uses a touch button to electronically open the oven door. To close it, you simply shut it manually as you would any other oven door.

The Miele handleless oven model door drops down (like most standard ovens) whereas the Gaggenau oven door is hinged on either the left or right and swings open at the touch of a button.

And, if for any reason the touch button isn’t working, or you simply want to, you can manually open the doors via a small finger groove in the doors.

Can You Get A Handleless Double Oven?

No. After lots of research and all my years as a kitchen designer, I’ve yet to come across a handleless double oven.

However, instead of a double oven, you could have a handleless combination microwave oven and a handleless main oven on top of one another to create the look and function of a handleless double oven.

Personally, I think this is a better option anyway. As it gives you more cooking capacity and additional functions.
