1. Calming Contrast

A gorgeous contemporary and minimalist kitchen. The soft off-white cabinets contrast beautifully against the mid-grey flecked quartz worktop giving a clean (but not harsh) separation. The glossy tiled floor and white walls help to give this kitchen a light, bright and airy feel. While the open oak shelves lend to the open plan and minimalist nature of the room.

2. Classic White and Grey

Grey and white aren’t just for modern kitchens. This classic in-frame shaker kitchen shows that the grey and white mix works just as well with a more traditional style. The light grey wood effect floor and grey walls all give the room a soft and light feel with the stainless steel appliances subtly blending in amongst the cabinets.

3. Sleek Stainless Steel

A modern, minimal and open white and grey kitchen. The matt white handleless cabinets are sharply contrasted by the sleek, clean stainless steel worktop, giving off professional kitchen vibes. The use of open wall cabinets and having crockery and books on show help to soften the otherwise quite clinical look of the kitchen.

4. Mix and Match

Having a white kitchen with grey worktops doesn’t mean you can’t introduce other colours and textures. This stunning contemporary kitchen uses white and grey on the island as well as a secondary putty colour to help create more contrast and visual interest. The addition of the lowered wooden countertop not only adds texture to the room but also creates a functional seating area.

5. Concrete Symmetry

Perfectly balanced and symmetrical, this handleless kitchen’s design is very pleasing to the eye. Matt white kitchen cabinets contrasted with strong grey concrete worktops. The timber wall cabinets mixed with the concrete and open, exposed ceiling give this kitchen a bit of a modern industrial vibe.

6. Gloss and Grey

A classic modern glossy white and grey worktop kitchen. I’ve designed lots of versions of this kitchen over the years. It’s a popular request from clients looking for a fresh, modern kitchen without it looking like a dentists office. The wooden floor and textured worktop and splashback bring in some contrast and warmth to help offset the clean and sometimes cold look of the glossy white cabinets.

7. Contemporary Contrast

Another great example of the classic modern white and grey kitchen. This time using matt white handleless cabinets and concrete effect Dekton worktops. The full height splashback and dark wooden flooring help to bring in more contrast to an otherwise very white room. This results in a nice balance of light and dark, giving a soft and almost monochrome feel to the kitchen.

8. Cement Grey

A fantastic contemporary family kitchen. This kitchen perfectly blends lots of tall cabinet storage with a light open feel and a gorgeously unique kitchen island. The clean lines, warm wooden floor, white cabinets and contrasting textured concrete worktop all work together harmoniously giving off definite ‘Scandi’ vibes.
The lowered timber worktop works perfectly as a breakfast bar area and is a brilliant design touch to get around the difference in floor levels between the kitchen and dining area.

9. Light Open Living

A wonderful light, bright and airy open plan living/dining/kitchen room. The off white matt handleless kitchen cabinets are subtly contrasted by a concrete worktop with a brass handleless strip separating the two. A bank of tall cabinets at the back of the room ground the kitchen and provide lots of practical storage while the long open shelf and lack of wall cabinets allow the light to come pouring in and keep the spacious open-plan feel.

10. Traditionally White and Grey

Going for the modern farmhouse vibe with this fresh but traditional kitchen. The in-frame shaker-style white cabinets are balanced against the polished quartz grey worktops and dark wooden flooring. The rest of the room was made bright and fresh with white walls and white metro tiles in the kitchen area. Having the light timber worktop on the kitchen island also helps to soften the overall look and keep things lighter by not adding too much of the dark grey contrasting worktop that would dominate the room.
